About TradeDiary

Built in India, for Indian traders

TradeDiary is a trading journal and portfolio analytics app for Indian traders. It imports your broker files, rebuilds every trade with charges, and shows you where your P&L actually comes from: which setups work, which habits cost money, and what your edge really is.

Why it exists

I tried to keep a trading journal in spreadsheets for years and kept giving up. Broker back-offices showed me what I traded, but not why I won or lost. TradeDiary is the journal I wanted: it fills itself in from my broker, so the only thing left for me to write is the part that matters, which is my reasoning and what I learned.

Who writes our guides

Every guide on the TradeDiary blog is written from the point of view of an active Indian trader. When an article quotes numbers about how traders behave, they come from anonymised, aggregated TradeDiary data. We count each account once, so a handful of very active traders can't skew the result.

Start with the complete guide to trading journals in India, the trading psychology handbook or trader analytics 101.

What we are not

TradeDiary is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser and nothing on this site is investment advice. We help you study your own trades; decisions stay yours.
